Description
The Hozelock Ecopower Combi-Filter combines UV light with mechanical and biological filtration to ensure that your pond is as clean as possible.Water enters the Hozelock Ecopower filter through a stepped hose tail (20 / 25 / 32 / 40mm), and from there it passes into the UV chamber. The UV chamber features an integrated “turbulator” to ensure that the water is exposed correctly to the UV light produced by the bulb. This energy clumps the algae that causes green water, which then passes through a venturi to aerate it.The water then flows through high quality foam filters to remove any remaining pieces of grime and waste. The flow then directs through biological filter media that has a huge surface mass. Bacterial colonies can thrive, and naturally break down the biological contaminants such as nitrates. Waste that is collected in the lower chamber is easily removed away from the stream of clean water. Maintenance can be monitored via the viewing hatch, simply lift to check on media condition and in case of any blockages or other issues.

How Ecopower+ works?
Water enters the filter through a stepped hosetail (1) and from here it passes into the UV chamber (2). The UV chamber features a “turbulator” to ensure that the water is exposed correctly to the UV light produced by the UV bulb. This clumps the algae that causes greenwater together. The water then passes through a Venturi (3) to aerate it. The aearated water passes into the bottom of the filter through plastic biomedia (4) where beneficial bacteria cleanse pollutants and remove fish waste.The waste in the bottom chamber can be dislodged (5). The water then rises up through the foam filters where the debris and solid waste are removed. Purified water then passes up an outlet tube (6) and back into the pond.When this filter is sized, installed and maintained correctly, in accordance with our instructions, we guarantee clear-water.
